About Polish Saturday School

The school is open on Saturdays from 9 am till 1 pm for children aged 4 till 14 ( sometimes we accept children at the age of 3.5 if they are ready), costs 35 pounds monthly , we are considering the possibility to run shorter classes during half terms ( depending on amount of children and teacher's availability) but that will be additional classes and really up to the parents.

We have currently nearly 40 children and still more coming. We have 4 teachers and a volunteer to help us  and we are quite flexible when it comes to min or max of children ( we want to accomodate as many children as possible so there is always the option to hire extra classrooms or employ more teachers)The main goal of the school is to teach children of Polish origin their native language ( so that they will become fluent in using Polish language in speaking, writing and reading) as well as introducing them to our customs, literature, culture, history and geography. We are also setting up Polish Library Corner at D'Auvergne School ( Polish Saturday School is located there) to enable children getting familiar with the books written in Polish. Polish Saturday School is under the patronage of Polish Educational Society in London and at the end of school year they will be given certificates.
